Will they actually wear it?

The bands don't have to go on a wrist. They can be worn on a lanyard, looped through a rucksack strap or fastened to a belt loop, so the information is still there without anything touching the skin.

I think it is a wonderful item it's comfortable to wear and holds a lot of information my daughter has ordered one for herself and my other daughter has ordered one for her husband and also my nurse from my doctors thought they were good and she is ordering one for her mother so I am spreading the word about it. Purchased for my son who has a significant health issue and is on blood thinners which both may result in an unexpected emergency situation. The band allows medical information of treatment, drug information and emergency contacts instantly, and when he doesnt have parents around, gives us reassurance.
