Registration
How do I register my band or tag?
You can register both QR Snap Bands and NFC Tags in the same way.
Option 1 (easiest on a phone)
- QR Snap Band: Scan the QR code on the product using your phone's camera.
- NFC Tag: Tap the tag with an NFC-enabled smartphone.
You'll be guided through creating an account and registering your product.
Option 2 (laptop, computer, or phone)
- Head to https://register.safeandsnappy.com/ and create a new account, or log in if you already have one.
- Follow the steps to register your product manually.
Your product is active immediately once registered.
What's a Product Code or URN?
The Product Code (also called a URN) is the unique identifier printed on your band or tag, next to the QR code.
It looks something like: P-1125-9054
The letter at the start shows the product type:
- P = Personal / Emergency
- M = Medical
- S = School
- A = Allergy

Can I register multiple bands or tags?
Yes. You can register multiple products under one account.
Each band or tag has:
- its own Product Code
- its own information profile
You can also manage multiple profiles in one account — ideal for families.
Can I update my information after registering?
Yes. Log in at safeandsnappy.com, find your product in the dashboard, click Edit, and update any details.
Changes take effect immediately.
Scanning, Tapping & Notifications
Do people need an app to scan or tap my product?
No.
- QR Snap Bands: Any smartphone camera can scan the QR code.
- NFC Tags: Most modern smartphones can tap the tag.
No app download required.
Does the scanner need internet access?
Yes. An internet connection is needed to open the information page.
Will I be notified when my band or tag is scanned or tapped?
Yes. You'll receive an email alert showing:
- the time of the scan or tap
- the location (if the scanner chooses to share it)
Why might the email not include a location?
When someone scans or taps your product, they're asked if they'd like to share their location.
If they decline — or don't respond within 10 seconds — the email will say location not provided. Location sharing is optional to respect the scanner's privacy.
Will I get an email for every scan or tap?
To avoid notification overload, you'll receive a maximum of 3 email alerts per product within any 5-minute window.
All scans and taps are still logged in your dashboard.
Product & Durability
Do the bands or tags need batteries or charging?
No.
- QR Snap Bands use a printed QR code.
- NFC Tags use passive NFC technology.
Neither requires batteries, charging, or maintenance.
Are the products waterproof?
Yes. All Safe and Snappy products are designed for:
- swimming
- bathing
- rain
- everyday wear
What sizes are available?
QR Snap Bands
One-size adjustable fit for children and most adults.
Size: 215mm length × 25mm width
NFC Tags
Compact, lightweight clip-on tags designed for clothing, bags, lunch boxes, or coats.
Privacy & Security
Is my information safe?
Yes. Your information is stored securely and encrypted. We comply fully with UK GDPR.
What's shown depends on the product type:
- Emergency Contact products: First name, emergency contacts, and notes only
- Medical products: The wearer's name may be shown to help emergency responders
Full personal details are never publicly displayed unnecessarily.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Log into your account and delete the registration at any time.
The product will become inactive and show an "unregistered" message if scanned or tapped.
What happens if I lose my band or tag?
Log into your account and delete the registration for the lost product.
Each product has a unique code and cannot be transferred. You'll need to order and register a new one.
Can I transfer my band or tag to someone else?
No. Each product is linked to a unique Product Code.
To give it to someone else, you must:
- Delete your registration
- Allow them to create their own account
- Register the product fresh

How long does delivery take?
Please note for launch:
Products will not ship until 30 December 2025.
After launch:
- Orders ship within 1–2 business days
- UK delivery: 2–4 working days via Royal Mail 48 Tracked
How much is shipping?
- UK: £2.75 (Royal Mail 48 Tracked)
- EU: £14.99 (2–11 business days)
- Rest of World: £23.99 (3–17 business days)
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to the EU and worldwide.
What's your returns policy?
Unused and unregistered products can be returned within 14 days for a full refund.
